Membership Requirements

Our association offers three classes of membership: Student Members, Professional Members, and Corporate Members. To be eligible for each class, specific prerequisites must be met:

Student Member:

Applicants for student membership should be registered students pursuing a course leading to a National/High National Diploma, Bachelor’s degree, or its equivalent in Science, Environment, Engineering or Other fields from an approved institution.

Professional Member:

Applicants for professional membership should hold an HND, B.Sc., or its equivalent in Sciences, Environment, or Engineering, Additionally, they must possess relevant working experience in EIA, sustainable development, environmental stewardship, or related fields; or working in diverse fields that are dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment.

Corporate Member:

Admission to the corporate membership class is obtained through direct application. Applicants for corporate membership must meet the following criteria:

Hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field from a recognized institution.

Possess a minimum of four years of practical experience in Environmental Impact Assessment. If the applicant holds a postgraduate degree in a relevant field, the following years of experience will be credited: M.Sc. – 1 Year; Ph.D. – 3 Years.

The Association will thoroughly evaluate the quality of the applicant’s experience as stated in its biography/report and, at its discretion, approve the application. We encourage you to carefully review the membership requirements and select the class that aligns with your qualifications and professional background.
